WELCOME TO CREATING CAY

Hello! I'm thrilled that you are here! I am excited about starting this journey with you.

Starting Creating CAY has been a dream of mine for years, and although I am new to websites and blogging outside of the educational world, I hope that I can bring some joy, peace and laughter into your life through my journal entries and my created projects for your classroom and/or home.

To give you some background, I have been creating worksheets, center activities, organizational charts, and tests for my classroom for more than 25 years. I published "Reading Questions" with DJ Inkers some years back, and have been selling products with Teachers Pay Teachers for years as well. I have also been working on creating job charts, babysitter information, organizational strategies for my home life as well. Not everything has worked all the time, but I'm always evolving and changing to meet the needs of the every changing world.

I have been married for 10 years to my husband, Billy, and we have a wonderful little boy who is now 7 (almost 8, going on 20). We have a lovely home in Smyrna, Georgia where we have been spending much of time through this pandemic. We have 2 cats (Sam who is 17 years old and on Prozac. Emmy who is 8 year old rescue whom I found at Ace Hardware when she was just about 4 weeks old.) Spending time with family and friends is essential to my sanity, and traveling has always been a fun past time (until lately with the pandemic).

With that said, it's tough to keep up a full time teaching job, a home life with a husband, child and 2 cats, and still have time for this creative outlet that I love.

I'm sure you're nodding your head saying, yes, there's so much to do and so little time to do it all. You are so right! But that's why I'm starting this website & BLOG... I want to help create a space where you can come to find what might help you in your classroom or home life. I've always loved the quote "It takes a village to raise a child", but I think that quote may need one that follows that says... "It takes a village of friends to keep each other going." Whether I know you personally or you are out there in cyberspace, if you are in need of a community of friends, I'm here and I know others are out there too wanting you to know we're all in this together!

I can't promise that you will always find the exact answer you're looking for, but I do promise that I will try my best to help you find the answers if I don't have them or create something that may help!

This year may be one for the books, but I cannot think of a better time to start this journey with you. If you're up for the journey, please subscribe to the website and let's get started!

Many Hugs & Smiles,

Caryn
